Why are so many business owners taking on a business coach these days? They know that working with a business coach can lead them down the path to a better life, not just a better business.
Do you want a better life? Of course you do, who doesn’t? Nobody lives a perfect life, despite what they may want you to believe. As we say at ActionCOACH, there is always room for improvement, which is why so many people are choosing to work with a business coach these days.
Where does your life need improvement? Is it in your business itself or your personal life? One of the greatest things about working with a business coach is that, while the focus may be on your business, the benefits spill over into all aspects of life.
Think about it. One of the main reasons so many business owners choose to work with a business coach is because they don’t have the balance they want in life. They find themselves running all over the place just to get the day’s tasks accomplished without taking the time to enjoy the rewards of their hard work.
Does that sound like you? Is your business an albatross around your neck? Then you need a business coach.
What’s the point of building a successful business if you can’t enjoy the fruits of your labour? Nobody wants to run into an early grave, but too many business owners find themselves concerned with work and only work every day. But not the owners who have a business coach.
If you don’t have a business coach, ask yourself, do you have time to see your kids’ games or school activities? Can you afford to leave your business for a month and know your team will have it running as expected when you return? Can you afford to leave for a week? How about a day?
Again, if any answer is no, you need a business coach.
Aside from restoring balance so you can enjoy life, the benefits you’ll gain from working with a business coach are immeasurable. Imagine your profits growing and having more time to live your life. You can’t get there without a business coach.
When you’ve realised you’ve had enough of running the race just to stay in place, call ActionCOACH. Today all over the UK we hear that things are turning around, that the economy is getting better, but have you seen the proof yet? If you and your business are waiting for the recovery to hit you, stop waiting and start doing.
The right Business Coaches can show you where you’ve gone wrong and what you can do to turn your business the place where you spend all of your time to a thriving commercial enterprise that works… without you there. Call ActionCOACH and partner with a top Business Coach today.

Business coaching is a service that coaches clients in all areas of business. From marketing to finance to sales, a business coach can be vital to a business, and more so than a consultant — a business coach helps guide the client to solve problems, rather than just fixing everything for them, and teaching nothing.
Today’s business coaching lesson is about customer service. Often overlooked by business owners, it is actually very important to running a successful business. Read on:
1. Remember the little things…
It’s is surprising how little you need to do to impress someone. It could be as simple as getting them a chair when your waiting room is full, or carrying their purchase to the car.
In the end, these small things help build a relationship, and relationships count. Think of how many businesses you deal with simply because you ‘like the guy who serves you’ or you ‘always enjoy chatting to the lady behind the counter’.
Here’s a few examples of extra service that only takes a few seconds, but will last for days in the customers memory…
Make a customer a cup of coffee, and record their preference on a record card. Next time they come in, say ‘Cup of coffee? White with one isn’t it John?” How much would that impress someone?
Sending them a card on their birthday with a special offer is also a great way to follow up and build rapport. The easiest way to get the date is to put their birth date on the customer detail form (you may wish to leave the year out in case they are a little coy about their age).
2. Add value…
Occasionally it pays to add something extra on top. You need to be careful though, so the customer doesn’t come to expect it every time.
But that extra touch will leave them on a high, and probably encourage them to refer a couple of people. Here’s a few examples…
Give them a trial sample of another product – you can usually get these from suppliers free. Just a small satchel of hand lotion, or chips, or nails or anything can make a customer feel good.
Or when you sell a product give them something for free which has high perceived value but low hard cost to you – such as a gift cheque to spend with you next time.
3. Co-operate with other businesses
This is definitely the best and cheapest way to get your customers raving about you.
Here’s how it works…You approach another business and ask them for a free gift you can give to every one of your customers. If the business owner is smart, they’ll oblige you with something great – a gift voucher or a free service.
What you’re actually doing is advertising their business direct to every one of your customers. More than that you’re recommending that business. That’s a pretty potent form of promotion.
The benefits are massive. Imagine if your hairdresser sent you a $10 voucher to spend at your local gift store. You’d be pretty surprised, and impressed. Or what, if your gym sent you a voucher for a free tanning bed session? It may seem like a simple gesture but it can have a huge effect on the way your client views your business.

Business coaches are often hired by clients to help with hard decisions. And hard decisions are something every business owner has to face at one point or another: take Richard Branson.
Branson owned Virgin Records and Virgin Airlines until he had to make the tough decision to sell the record company. And while it was the right thing to do, it was still hard for him to sell the company he had started as a teen, the company that he had toiled hard to make successful, even signing the likes of Janet Jackson, Genesis, the Sex Pistols and Lenny Kravitz.

If you are a business owner, everyone in your immediate vicinity may want to offer business advice. Everyone seems to think they know what’s best for your business, but as you know, in reality they have no idea, they are no expert.
They may tell you that you need to paint the building, you need to cut prices, you need to let go your staff with no real concept of what that means for you and your business. As with so many other aspects of life, everyone thinks they are an expert on someone else’s business.
That’s why you need to find the right business advice for your company. The right business advice isn’t a bunch of red herrings designed to make you think you’re working harder. The right business advice is designed to make you work smarter.

Do you ever feel like you’re in a rut? How does that feeling affect your business? How does it affect your personal life? Odds are that being in a rut and the lack of motivation that accompanies that rut is a killer in many different aspects of your life, especially in your business.
So what’s the best way to get out of your rut? How can you overcome your lack of motivation and get the best out of yourself, your life and your business? The answer is easy when you think about it: work with a business coach.
Working with a business coach is the hottest trend in the world of business today, and for good reason. The right business coach keeps entrepreneurs focused and moving toward their goals.
So, how can working with a business coach do all this? The answer is simple, accountability.
Often, when business owners find themselves in a rut it’s because they have lost focus on the future of their business. Perspective is gone and they can’t see the forest for the trees. This can be an overwhelming feeling for small business owners, but a business coach can help.
After all, what’s lonelier than running your own company without someone you can trust to turn to for advice? A business coach is a confidant that can be trusted to offer the best in business advice.
Without a confidant to turn to, all of the pressure is on the business owners, not only work on the business, but work in it as well. That situation can be very dangerous to the long term well-being of a business, without the help of a business coach.
Without a business coach, it’s easy for any business to become stagnant, doing the same things over and over again, whether they work or not. This is the definition of a rut and it can kill any small business if not handled correctly.
If you and your business is in that position, it’s time to hire a business coach. A business coach will offer perspective and confidentiality, but most importantly, a business coach provides small businesses with proven systems and tools to stay on the cutting edge and continually move forward so they can stay out of that rut.
Whether you should work with a business coach comes down to one question. What kind of business, and life, do you want? If you want to break out of your rut and move your business to the next level, hire a business coach today.
